Out of control

A chaotic world without rules. A world imbued with the remnants of its own fluidity of meanings, rituals, and customs, where everything merges into a shapeless mass of content and concepts of varied interpretation. A frenetic reality, pulsating with rhythm, connection, and technology, whose quality of use is significantly inferior to the potential contained within it.

Technology has shortened distances in all operational aspects of society. In transportation, education, services, and time, it has facilitated quicker access and communication. While this speed enhances perceived levels of comfort and well-being, it also drastically reduces perceptual processing times and reaction capacities. We are bombarded by a continuous and inexhaustible flow of information, overwhelming our minds and making us less attentive and persistent in focusing on a single task. Consequently, we lose sight of countless details of the surrounding reality. This reality is infused with meanings, fictitious identities, emotions, and superficial awareness, where the real and the virtual intertwine and blur into a single space-time continuum, rendering everything surreal. This seductive surreality distracts us from our responsibilities and duties, where the pursuit of personal pleasure becomes the sole life objective for some, rendering them unable to escape this vortex. It's a world of hyper-connected individuals devoid of objectives, transformed by their human nature into almost alien xenomorphs or anthropomorphic robots through incessant interaction with the virtual realm. They are deprived of their humanity, transformed into mechanical puppets with a metal cord extending from their necks, exerting total control over the quality of their consciousness, determining what is true and what is false instead of relying on their capacity for discernment.
