Fragmentation process of self

When we are torn between countless demands, seeking to please everyone, desiring to be appreciated by all, and not tolerating even a single rejection, we subject ourselves to a harmful and toxic stress that can lead to dissonance between our true selves and the persona imposed by others upon us. This persona imposes objectives and lifestyles incompatible with our authentic selves, leading us down dark paths and blind alleys, making us feel unwell. We resist, we persevere, but at the same time, we feel a strong sense of emptiness and fatigue, an inner fatigue derived from overwriting the pages of our daily lives, pages that are not ours, that we did not choose, and that we feel do not belong to us. Success lies not in pursuing something extrinsic, but only in what is the result of our own, and only our own, personal and unequivocal decision.

Try to imagine what it means to spend an entire existence trying to attract attention. Try to imagine how it might feel for a person when they fail to connect with others for who they are, a life spent longing to achieve that success coveted by many and reached by few. It's destabilizing rage and deep frustration, manifesting in the expression of extreme and irrational acts that can jeopardize the stability of one's future life. Trying to be something one is not for the benefit of someone else is the most serious self-injurious mistake a person can make; a mistake that can cause the disintegration of one's already fragile identity, an act of sublime masochistic self-harm that will result in the fragmentation of one's self, reaching the point where, facing the mirror, one will wonder who they are because they will not know for sure. A face cut into four parts and asymmetrically arranged on stage, crying blood, highly transfigured into a puppet and abstractly depicted and disfigured of its identity. An identity as an individual and as a social person that ceases to exist because it is not recognized by anyone. All distorted and on the verge of fragmenting, decomposing, and fading into nothingness, the same nothingness that had long gripped the unfortunate subject within, like an incurable disease devouring them from within, in the invisibility of their existence and the indifference of others. Losing touch with one's own person and living in a loop of stereotypical actions is an insult to the creativity and beauty of the individual in the uniqueness of their expression.
